The project has developed existing college links with The Lynn News, the local newspaper. The Journo students used to write a monthly piece called the College Catch Up for the paper but in this increasingly digital age we are looking to shift focus to broadcast media and create video pieced for their site and ours.

Students work closely with the newspaper to cover news events where possible and appropriate and have their work published on Springboard and the Lynn News Website - this so far has been the case on a somewhat ad-hoc basis but moving into the final term we have been exploring the idea of developing a regular programme formula which we can control more. So far we have found that it's hard to always have a crew available to cover events - as you would imagine as news in not predictable in that way. Will be meeting with the Lynn News people soon to try to put together a formula that can work for the best for both.
